Shaolin Kempo Karate is a martial art style that combines the Five Animals of Shaolin Kung Fu, the core competency of Kempo, the hard-hitting linear explosiveness of traditional Karate, as well as the power of Western boxing and the felling and grappling arts of Jiu jitsu, Chin Na, and Mongolian wrestling. Tokyo Joe’s Kempo Karate classes and lessons are taught by highly qualified Black Belt instructors who know how to make each class a fun, safe and educational learning environment.

Our Kempo Karate program is split into three different age groups:

Lil’ Dragons (Preschool – ages 3 to 6)
Junior Panthers (ages 7 to 12)
Teens & Adults (ages 13 +)

Team LinkProgram and Curriculum

As part of Team Link BJJ & MMA, we teach traditional Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu to both children and adults. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu it is an effective, practical martial art that is very applicable to self-defense situations and is also a fantastic way to stay fit. We offer a balanced curriculum of sport, no-gi, and self defense. The emphasis is on ground-fighting, but we also cover takedowns with and without the kimono (uniform).

In the beginning stages of your training we emphasize the fundamental and basic techniques that will eventually be your solid foundation for this exciting martial art. Because the techniques are constantly changing and evolving, we try to offer the most up-to-date techniques coming out of the competition scene.

Competition is a fun aspect of this martial art and is a fun and safe way to test and apply your skills. We recommend competition but do not make it a requirement for your progress. Many students just like to train for their own reasons other than competition such as self defense, fun, fitness…etc.
Training at our academy is a great way to become and stay fit! The beautiful thing about training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is that you will be having a lot of fun while you’re getting in shape. Students lose weight without even focusing on it. You will also be learning an incredibly effective martial art at the same time.
Many students at Team Link Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu academy are students and instructors of other martial arts themselves. We have a very open mind and our students do also. As many of you know Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a wonderful supplement to striking based martial arts such as taekwondo, karate, wrestling, kickboxing…etc. Many martial artists know Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu will make them a more balanced and complete fighter.


AGES 5-15

Kids BJJThe Kids Brazilian Jiu Jitsu program at Team Link Hooksett is a great way for children to learn self defense, stay fit and build character. This program accepts children from 5 to 15 years old. This class is designed to instill confidence and self-discipline while improving balance, coordination and mental toughness. Each class includes a warm-up, stretching, technical instruction, games related to BJJ concepts and movements and an instructor-supervised sparring session.
